Simon Dainton

In this time I 've really enjoyed helping people change their lives, by encouraging them to exercise more effectively, improve their eating habits and make lifestyle changes that, combined, have led to impressive results!

Now I want to help even more people keep fat off for the long term, which is why I started Fitstreet Boot Camp; the sure fire way for all ladies, and that includes YOU, to get results that show.

What's my approach to training?

At Boot Camp I believe in training with good humour, patience and professionalism . I want people to work hard and push themselves that little bit further, but I DON'T believe in the 'Sergeant Major' approach, barking orders and reminding you of your physical failures. That's not my style. It doesn't work for me and it's never worked for any of my clients.

While you will work hard, Boot Camp sessions will be enjoyable and physically rewarding. No two sessions are ever exactly the same, so you're always kept on your toes!

How do I stay in shape?

I like to keep things simple. I train with weights and I sprint. When the weather's good I swim and kayak. I also walk my dog twice a day, which is an added bonus!

At school I was skinny, moderately inactive and never picked for teams. Since then I 've worked hard to get physically fit. I have first-hand experience of the dedication needed to succeed physically and the education to know how . Exercise is now a daily part of my life but it doesn't rule it - 45 minutes is all I need to stay fit!

(Feel free to read 'Fitness - My Own Journey').

What's my diet like?

OK, I have to admit I have a sweet tooth...

95% of the time I eat very well - healthy, nutritious food, spaced regularly throughout my day. I rarely get to a point where I feel starving, because I eat smaller amounts more often.

My diet is pretty clean - whole foods, plenty of meat and fish and fresh vegetables. When it comes to eating I 'm sensible.

I steer away from sugar as much as possible, but of course I 'll indulge every now and then. Like everyone else, I enjoy a bit of chocolate and I 'sometimes' give in to puddings, crisps and alcohol, but I see these as treats, not a regular part of my daily diet! Once a fortnight is enough.

I 'm also a firm believer in the saying 'all things in moderation'.

Eating, after all, is a social thing! As long as I stick to a winning formula 95% of the time, and I exercise regularly, I remain happy and healthy!
