The Right Mindset for Eating

Nutrition is some 70% of the winning formula for better health and weight management. These days there are so many rules about eating. We find ourselves overwhelmed by the choices, confused by what we are supposed
to do. Rather than try to pick out the right options, we end up doing nothing.

Let me dispel some nutritional 'myths' that may be lodged in your mind right now...

Thinking that eating more will make you fat.

For many of you, my advice to eat 5 times a day will seem ludicrous. Surely eating more will only worsen your situation? Not so, unless you decide to eat the wrong foods, high in poor fat or carbohydrate. By eating smaller portions more regularly throughout the day you will fire up your body's 'food furnace' - the metabolism - and actually process food a lot quicker and more efficiently than if you stick to just 3 large meals or less. The more frequently your body receives good quality food (in sensible portions), the less likely it will be to store fat.

Thinking that cutting calories is the answer to weight loss.

Cutting calories is NOT the answer. The only calories you should cut are those from poor quality food choices. Most of you will actually need to eat more, especially while exercising, to give your body what it needs. The more you 'starve' your body, the more it will fight back by storing what you do eat as fat.

Believing that 'if Celebrities can succeed at the latest diet, so can I '.

Don't be fooled by what magazines tell you. Many celebrities are paid to endorse the latest dietary fads, and many lose weight for film roles and awards ceremonies that soon goes back on after the event. You find yourself fooled because the only time you see them is when they are in the press, publicising their latest film, book or exercise video. This is when they HAVE to look good! Celebrities can be fickle; they are willing to try anything to stay slim!

Thinking; 'nothing else has worked so why should this?'.

This programme will work because you are given step by step instruction, assessment, and feedback that will ensure your success. 'Nothing else has worked' because you were trying diet plans that were too restrictive, too time consuming, involved number crunching and gave you little choice in what you could actually consume. This programme doesn't do any of that. Try it yourself and prepare to be satisfied.

I 've messed up so I may as well give up!

And do what? Go back to eating badly, feeling lousy and gaining weight? What's the point? So you messed up - BIG deal! It happens to all of us, and not just when it comes to eating. The sooner you put it down to a moment of weakness or oversight and move on, the sooner you will be back on track and feeling better again. Are you really going to let one or two minor incidents upset your future health? Of course not.
