Are you half-dead already?

Water is your life source, so why aren't you drinking enough?

The number of times I start a session, only to find that some of you haven't even
thought about bringing water with you. Some of you even go so far as to tell me you don't need any, and that you'll get a drink when you finish.

Correction - most of you need more water than you think.

A dry mouth should never be your cue to drink. By this stage you are already well on the way to dehydration! And a dehydrated body is killing off cells left, right and centre. Your body is literally 'dying' while you continue to avoid water.

Like your pattern of eating, drink little and often. Regularly wet your mouth and drink ½ a litre of water 15 minutes before each meal to ensure proper hydration.

Dehydration will ruin your chances of fat loss. In your brain there's a fine line between hunger and thirst. The more dehydrated you are, the more likely you will believe that you are hungry. False hunger = likely weight gain.

A dehydrated body will scavenge water from your vital organs and stomach, causing you constipation. Water is vital for saliva production. Without sufficient saliva you will find it harder to effectively digest the food that you eat, leaving you cheated of vital vitamins and minerals.

If you suffer from regular headaches, back pain, heartburn or leg pain, look to your water supply. It might be distinctly lacking. Try adding a pinch of salt to each litre bottle of water to increase absorption and make water taste better.

I've said it before and now I'm saying it again; get water down you and you will notice a marked difference!
