What is a 'Clothing Size'?
What constitutes a 'dress or jean size'?
With so much confusion and variance between clothing sizes in the UK, you're probably wondering what
we mean when we guarantee YOU a
'drop in dress or jean size'.

At Fitstreet we determine clothing size by waist measurement, not
weight
on the scales, and not bust measurement.
We equate a drop in clothing size to a 2 inch reduction around the natural waistline - measured around
the navel or the belly button.
These are the industry standards we follow:
UK 10 = 26"
UK 12 = 28"
UK 14 = 30"
UK 16 = 32"
UK 18 = 34"
UK 22 = 36"
Each size thereafter increases by 2 inches.
Whatever your current measurements, we guarantee you a drop of at
least 2 inches from your waistline
in under 5 weeks. This is also valid for male clients, who are expected to see a drop in
jean size in this time
(eg: 40” waist to a 38”).
IMPORTANT: Please don't now measure yourself and panic that you are actually a size
or two bigger
than you thought you were! Taking a waist measurement around the belly button does not equate to
your actual dress or jean size, although you will be able to fit into a size smaller than you currently
wear within 4 weeks. Using the measurement
around the belly button
is an industry guideline, not a definitive mark.
